Botháinín Bán translates from Irish as "Little White Hut" (or "Little White Cottage").
A small whitewashed fishing hut stands quietly in the wild Connemara landscape, part of the historic network of huts once belonging to the Ballynahinch Castle Estate. Tucked along rivers and lakeshores, these humble shelters speak of a slower era of angling tradition — a beautifully preserved fragment of Connemara’s rich sporting and cultural heritage.
